Us South Africans take barbecuing very seriously; in fact 24th September marks National Braai Day (Afrikaans speak for bbq).In reality, there's nothing serious about a typical braai, it's a chance to kick back and relax with friends and family. I find it awesome that a nation's love for something as simple as a bbq can bring a city together!
