I’m thanking God for the missions work of the worship pastors and asking the Lord to bless their outreach. For them to be full of the Spirit and of every good fruit that relationship can bring. That they will be bold and courageous ambassadors of truth. That God will supply the words necessary in all their endeavors. That they will be blessed with wisdom, strength, comfort, and peace. That the music ministry will not lack for any good thing but will flourish as an instrument of holy praise.

I’m praying for the teaching pastors one at a time by name. I’m asking God to fill them to the brim with abundant vibrant spiritual life and that words of life and hope will flow from them and bless all who come in contact with them. I’m asking God to energize them and fill them with great boldness to evangelize effectively and joyfully in Jesus’ name. I’m praying their ministries will be granted the fruit of revival. That the Holy Spirit will do a mighty work in and through their lives.

That there he will find divine comfort, strength, and encouragement to meet all of the trials of ministry. That he will be kept in good health and protected from harm. That his gifts will increase and multiply as he uses them. That Jesus will teach him wonderful things in preparation for his lessons and sermons.

I’m letting my mind try to stretch to hold the best impression I can pull together of His glory. His power and majesty. I’m considering who I am talking to and feeling overwhelmed that He will meet with me. Companionably. Fondly. Informally. I’m thanking Him for the privilege of prayer. For the intimacy. The closeness. The relationship He allows us. For the love that He shows through this precious gift. I’m telling Him that He is delightful. That in His presence is fullness of joy.

I’m taking a minute to just be still and know that He is God. I’m appreciating the fact that I am talking to the God who created the universe. To the very One who set the planets spinning and the stars to twinkling. The One who caused the cells of my body to multiply and knit together and grow to perform all of the functions He designed them to do. I’m loving this great God for being right here with me as I sit on my floor and tap on this little phone screen. I’m adoring Him for conversing.

lol. This just showed up in my feed. I’m not even entirely sure what’s happening in this picture. 🧐 It kind of makes me laugh. It looks like a fiction writer’s story prompt. 😂 But the verse goes along with a theme of the day. Righteousness and boldness are linked. They go together. A deep spiritual life should lead us in the direction of boldness for Christ.

There was more than an increase in knowledge as a result of Paul’s chains. People were transformed. Their hearts were changed. They became evangelists. Bold courageous confident evangelists. It is no less than a miracle that God can work what man meant for evil to such glorious Kingdom good. Paul was indeed in chains because of Christ. Jesus could have freed him. Right away. Easily. But He didn’t. He had a different plan. A plan that looked like “good tidings of great joy for all people.”

Paul’s imprisonment actually helped to spread the good news. It gave him time to write. Time to reflect. Time to study. Time to pray. He had time for a deep spiritual life, and as we can learn if we read the letter to the Philippians, it brought a great deal of joy out of his inner being. And it strengthened the Church. Believers became emboldened to speak out without fear. They gained the right kind of confidence. Confidence in the power of Jesus.

I just know it. 🧐 There HAS to be. I will not rest until I have figured this out. (The actual joke might be that half my church is possibly at work right now helping to solve this serious issue.👖🔥🤔 #themissingjoke)

Lord, revive us to build wisely for the eternal future. Help us not to deceive ourselves as we live out our days. Not to build lives of little heavenly value. Not to focus on those things which will burn away on judgment day. Revive the Church to be willing to live lives that are so spiritually focused that they would make no sense at all if there wasn’t a far better world waiting just around the corner. Lord, renew us to prepare well for what is coming .
