This bearded iris bud, just on the verge of opening, provided ample inspiration for me yesterday. Aren't the colors just magnificent? So I have 1000 yards, now, of this dyed 10/2 bombyx silk noil yarn for a knitted piece of art cloth. And I'm looking forward to starting in on it...although I may (or may not) hold off just a bit... Gisteren vroeg Suus hoe ik de hoeveelheden afmeet. Daar heb ik twee hulpmiddelen voor! De eerste is een setje van IKEA (1 euro voor 4 lepeltjes: 1, 5, 15 en 100 ml) en daar koop ik dan gelijk meerdere setjes. Ga ik dan mixen en mengen, dan leg ik bij iedere kleur een volledig setje en hoef ik niet steeds te spoelen (op de onderste foto nog een ´uit de collectie´ setje maar er is al een alternatief, zie foto links). Daarmee kan ik de grote hoeveelheden, met name 5 en 15 ml. goed afmeten. Kom…
