Christmas shoppers 1953.
The hustle and bustle of Adderley str. during Dec. '53. I fondly remember the station Tea Room. During the late fifties as a lad of 12 , I sometimes accompanied my dad on his business trips to C.T and after the car was parked this was our first port of call for a steaming cup of coffee. View of Green Point Track and Table Bay
Somerset Hospital can be seen on the waterfront as well as the Breakwater Prison. The British POW camp, used as a holding camp for Boer prisoners before shipping them to various colonies, can be seen to the left of the track.
