The Gravity Series consists of 2 low and 2 high side tables and a long coffee table. The tables explore the relationship between simple forms and powerful forces, each relaying on its own weight and shape to allow it to function. The side tables are each cut from a single log of camphor laurel timber which is considered a week in Australia. The solid blocks are finished raw and suspended into steel frames and are held in place by their own weight.
< 3 Side Table. Jonathan Sabine's less than three (aka heart emoticon) table does have less than three legs, two to be exact. The Fewer Than 3 side table does have three parts - a wood top, a wood dowel leg, and a bent tubular steel leg. The single steel leg bends so that it runs along the ground, making contact at two points.
