How to make a glycerite out of dried herbs
Glycerites are one of my favorite herbal medicines to make. Unlike tinctures they’re sweet, which means you can use them in a lot of ways—add them to a mocktail, put them in oatmeal, top off your ice cream. They make a lot of the more bitter herbs (like blue vervain) more accessible. For this glycerite, I got the calendula from Oshala Farm and the food grade vegetable glycerin from Mountain Rose herbs! #herbalremedies #herbs #herbalism

How to make an herbal tincture out of dried herbs
How to make an herbal tincture from dried plant material—folk medicine style! Fill your container halfway full with your dried plant material (the more freshly dried the better). Then, fill the jar all the way to the rim for the lid with your menstruum. Let it steep 4-8 weeks! Dose is 2-3 droppers full in a glass of water.
