Prague Old Town ST Nicholas Church Chandelier
Originally a Catholic church, now a Presbyterian church but in-between for almost 50 years it was a Russian Orthodox church and the chandelier is from that period between 1870 and 1919. It has 1400 pieces of glass.

The Facade of ST Nicholas Church Prague Old Town
The original ST Nicholas Church was demolished and rebuilt in the 1730s which gives it the Baroque style. It's been a church for Catholics, Russian Orthodox and Presbyterians.

The Sand Gate was added to the existing Prague Castle fortifications in 1721 and is the last gate of it's type in the city. This is the view from the inside of the gate looking back into what is now the sixth district.

The Fortified Sand Gate in Prague
The Sand Gate was an addition to the Baroque fortifications of Prague Castle and allowed easier access to the Klarov part of the Lesser Town. It is the only remaining fortified gate on this side of the river and the view is from the castle side.

This is a panoramic view of the third courtyard of Prague Castle viewed from the White Tower. You see the Old Burgraves House with the Obelisk in front, ST Vitus Cathedral, the entry to the Old Royal Palace and far-right the entry to the Offices of the President.

The official guards at Prague Castle always wear blue. Both the old main entry and the rear Powder Bridge entry have guard boxes. It also shows the Matthias Gate in the background.

Not often that you can get the entire frontage of the Prague Castle main entry with no tourists but the pandemic gave me the chance to get this picture. This used to be the main entry point but now the gate acts as an exit from the castle first courtyard.

Little Venice is the name or an area in the Prague Lesser Town where the Certovka Inlet meets the river Vltava. It's where you can board for small river cruises and hire river craft including gondolas.

The Old Royal Palace at Prague Castle is one of the historic buildings that you can explore. The entry is from the third courtyard and takes you into what's called the Gren Room.

The crypt was the last stand of 7 British-trained Czech and Slovak soldiers in the aftermath of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. The crypt of the ST Cyril and ST Methodius Church in Resslova is now a museum.
