For their History curriculum Grade 10s study the Vietnam War and the 1960's. They pay attention to reasons why America engaged in the war; why they struggled to overcome the Vietcong and the role the media played in forming people's opinions about events during that time. Besides America's war efforts they also engaged in the culture and fashions of the 60's. To celebrate the 60's culture, they held a 60's Dayupils dressed up in 60's fashion, had a party and watched old 60's TV programmes.
Last week Monday pupils formed a human rhino on the school field - and what a beautiful rhino it was! A total of 414 pupils from Sunningdale Prep and the Senior Primary participated. We raised for the Rooting for Rhino Schools Challenge.
The Grade handed 600 to the Guide Dog Association, enabling them to sponsor 3 puppies. Pupils did various chores at home (setting the table, feeding the dog, washing dishes etc.) to earn the money which they donated back to the Association.
