When Table Mountain still had a forest 1968.
Particularly the Silverstream area used to look like the Knysna forests with massive trees (not Pine), thick green undergrowth and lots of birds.

A poor quality postcard of a sunny day in Beach Rd. Sea Point. We used to be regular visitors to the beer garden of the hotel on the left side of the pic. Can anybody recall the name?
I couldn't believe it, either. Unfortunately, developers and idiots alike have managed to totally screwed up Houtbay and the surrounding areas, prompting a name-change to "Cement Bay"
