Mark Dahl 2007 Gear ~ TCAA - Contrary to the common method of inlaying silver into steel, for this Santa Susanna bit, Mark Dahl chose the reverse and inlaid the steel into sterling silver. This bit is awash in fine European styled engraving both on the outside of the French grey steel inlaid shanks and the silver interior. The half-breed mouthpiece is intricately inlayed with an elaborate floral pattern and the TCAA hallmark in copper. It took fifteen feet of wire to make the rein chains.
