Nevus of Ota (Mongolian spot) AKA nevus fuscoceruleus ophthalmomaxillaris, is a dermal melanocytic hamartoma that demonstrates bluish hyperpigmentation along the ophthalmic and maxillary divisions of the trigeminal nerve. It has rare malignant transformation potential, affects 0.014-0.034% of the Asian and Black population and has a strong predilection for females.
