FRANÇOIS GHEBALY GALLERY

Ghebaly opened his first gallery in 2009 in Chinatown. After he moved to Culver City but later he decided the space was too small. So that he is now (2014) going to share a square-foot warehouse in Downtown with four other workers in the sector. It is a dynamic mix of commercial and nonprofit enterprises, all sharing a commitment to supporting L.A.'s multifaceted art scene.

ANDRA URSUTA | Crush (dettaglio), 2011 Artist's words: "Crush is an embarassing description of an emotional state, of feelings of rejection and inutility. [...] it's the "summa" of all the infatuations that made the sufferings we tried during our life, or over the centuries, if you think about the female protagonist as an abandoned and used women archetype.
