A young male nyala feeds during a beautiful South african Sunset in the Kruger National Park. I've always loved Natural light, but this image really got me thinking about using the sun in my composition. Ever since taking this snap there has been a strong influence on natural light in each and Every image I take. Timing, positioning and planning my schedule around the sun are some of the things I have learnt about photography by analyzing this one image.

When it comes to landscape photography, straight lines and balanced horizons are some of the many rules that apply. As a naturalist, turned photographer I like to break that mould and focus on a much more organic approach to my landscapes. This is a view of my amazing hometown- Durban, South Africa. A light trail from the city center was done by having a slow shutter and it leads to the moses Mabhida stadium which dominates the skyline in Durban.
