Postberg, wildflowers - West Coast - Western Cape - South Africa - this looks as though it's been Photo-shopped and then I remember that nearly all the daisy family (Compositae) originates from South Africa and I stop being cynical!
Ostrich (Struthio camelus) walks though fields of wild flowers in Namaqualand (Garies and Hondeklipbaai), Northern Cape, South Africa. Driving along the Cape of Good Hope the ostrich were only 4 - 5 feet away from our car.
We love the vibrant colours of the daisies and the contrast of the Oryx in this beautiful photograph of the Namaqualand in during Spring. Definitely on the 'bucket list'! Photograph by Grobler du Preez.
