Baby skin is interesting skin. Both of my sons had baby “acne” and cradle cap about one-two months after they were born. I wasn’t sure the exact cause of each but was told it had something to do with my hormones going through their bodies. I applied breast milk to the acne and that seemed to help some and eventually it cleared up entirely.
