Hashim Amla - a great example for young cricketers. He is a joy to watch, and a quiet, unassuming team man. But what do you notice about this picture? He has no advertisers logo's on his shirt (Castle Lager - SA Breweries). Because of his religious convictions he takes no alcohol, and it is wonderful that his team, the sponsors, and the South African Cricket authorities respect this position.

Hashim Amla is 'overwhelmed' by record-breaking knock for South Africa

Well done Gary Kirsten on your caoching of the South African cricket team to world no 1 ranking. Late this afternoon, while the South Africa team collected their winning medals from the suits on the podium at Lord's, Kirsten could just about be seen in the small walkway that divides the Pavillion and the Allen Stand. He watched proudly but detached.

RESPECT: Hashim Amla, first South African to score a triple century in test cricket. The best part is he did it while fasting!!

Think Wise Champion and South African cricket captain Graeme Smith, Faf du Plessis, Alviro Peterson and Wayne Parnell, along with members of the South African cricket teams coaching staff, today met a group of children orphaned and made vulnerable by AIDS, as part of an event to raise awareness of the HIV epidemic in South Africa and its effects on children in particular. omg wow
