Drip Irrigation A newly planted tree needs about 20 liters of water (or about 5.25 gallons) each day in summer. Save water and nutrients by allowing water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either from above the soil surface or buried below the surface. The goal is to place water directly into the root zone and minimise evaporation. Water when first planted, and then for the first spring and then the following two summers is a good guide to ensure your tree does not become stressed. "

Did you know that tree rings tell climate stories that technology can't. A new study shows how information revealed by a new method of analyzing tree rings matches the story told by more high-tech equipment over the short-term.
