From the Jordan hillside vineyards one has spectacular panoramic views of Table Mountain, False Bay and Stellenbosch. Gary and Kathy worked internationally for two years, refining their high-energy instincts with practical experience. They returned home to build a cellar in 1992.

100% Syrah - The Prospector - The gold rush of the 1800’s led to the discovery of tin in the gravels underlying the Syrah vineyards at Jordan. These minerals lend particular characteristics to this Syrah with its rich, dense, dark chocolate, black fruit and fynbos flavours interlaced with white pepper. Barrel maturation adds toasty nuances to the richly textured structure.

100% Sauvignon Blanc - The Outlier. Our endeavour to produce a benchmark Sauvignon Blanc is expressed in this unique wine. Ripe fig, gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours are complemented by the gentle smoky vanilla nuances of oak – a true “outlier”.

100% Sauvignon Blanc - The grapes were destemmed before receiving approximately 6 hours skin contact. After gentle pressing in a pneumatic “tank” press, the juice was cold settled for 2 days before being racked and inoculated with selected yeasts. All the vineyard blocks were kept separate and fermentation took place between 12-16C.
