HMAS Voyager. She sank on the night of 10 February 1964 after being in collision with the carrier HMAS Melbourne off Jervis Bay, NSW. 82 lives were lost. RIP. "Quo Fata Vocant" her motto seems oddly apt - "Where Fate Calls".

April 1969. HMAS DUCHESS berthed at Port Adelaide - Chris Finney/Shipspotting.
4955. This superb dockside image of HMAS DUCHESS berthed at Port Adelaide has proved very popular since transport photographer Chris Finney first posted it on the Shipspotting website several years ago, and we are very glad to be able to have it here. The Daring Class destroyer appears to be preparing for departure, and perhaps testing power to her turrets. A turrets guns are depressed, while B and X are at maximum elevation.
