Family Dinner on the Trail Ed Hennessy and his family stopped for the evening as they traveled to Holbrook from the east. Even though they were on the road, they would have a hot dinner before turning in. Hennessy joined up with the Hashknife Outfit that ran thousands of head of cattle along the railroad line across northern Arizona in the late 1880’s. When the cattle business closed up, Hennessy was among many of the cowboys who stayed on in Holbrook.
Frank "Pistol Pete" Eaton
Frank Boardman "Pistol Pete" Eaton. During his teen years, Eaton was reputed to be faster on the draw than Buffalo Bill. From his first days as a lawman, he was said to "pack the fastest guns in the Indian Territory." By the end of his career, Eaton would allegedly have eleven notches on his gun.
