Peachy Bantry Bay Cape Town
unset last night from Bantry Bay, along the Sea Point Promenade. Every now and then something magical comes your way that makes you sit back and say "wow" - this was one of those sunsets. Sony A7iii and Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD. Filters: Lee 0,6 soft grad filter and a circular polarizer.
Pre-dawn pinks from Dolphin Beach, Cape Town.
When high level clouds roll in it is a great time to go out and shoot in Cape Town. Much like how photographers use reflecters to cast soft light onto a subject the clouds act like a giant reflector For about 10 minutes, just before the sun comes up, pink light will bounce down from these clouds and onto the sand in the foreground catching this beautiful pink cast. It doesnt always happen, especailly when you are shooting at sunrise on this side
Final glow, Bantry Bay, Cape Town
Caught the last bit of light catching Lions Head after a mad to Bantry Bay, Cape Town, South Africa. Had 2 minutes to set up and shoot before it was all gone. Only had time to use a polarizer, but wow that pink! Sony A7iii and Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD + polarizer.
Best Table Mountain view - Dolphin Beach, Cape Town
Early morning light touching the dunes of Dolphin Beach, Cape Town. Be careful not to step into the foreground and spoil your image! Usually these dunes will be littered with foot prints. But, just after the heavy wind its a good chance to get them looking pristine and untouched. Early morning or late afternoon is best when shooting dunes because you can maximize the shadows and contrast in the sand.
Blouberg Sunrise Surprise - Table Mountain
Woke up this morning at 5:30 and my "spidey senses" went off like like crazy when I looked out the window. So I grabbed my gear and headed out to Blouberg to catch a rainy sunrise. At first it looked like it was going to be a total flop, but then a break in the clouds allowed the sun to break through and light up some rain cascading gently in the Cape Town city bowl and over Table Mountain.
Cape Town wake up!
The magical moment when a city wakes up and the fog rolls in. Cape Town was looking like its old self again with lots of traffic about. Took this shot after about a 45 minutes hike up India Venster and really enjoyed the view.
