This wheel would be excellent to help a child figure out a coping skill to use. It is a physical activity that a child won't have to think about when doing. I find that thinking of a coping mechanism to use in the moment when one is upset can be difficult, so to have a set of coping skills already set up and a fun activity to figure out which one to use would probably be best for a child.

Sharing this tip in the hope it may help someone. I don't have the need to use it myself but feel I should share.

Breathing exercise to help stop panic attacks. This was a huge help for me, since I hyperventilate usually. It also forces you to focus on your breathing instead of what is causing your panic attack

Healing involves both sides.

Left and Right brain functions. Don't take this as a "Are you right or left brained? It is actually an untrue idea, as we all use both sides of our brains equally.
