If you struggle with spasticity or weakness in your fingers or hand, you may find relief by training your WRIST.

Your wrist is chalk full of joint receptors.

When we stimulate the sensors in those joints, the connection between your brain and hand can be greatly improved.

One of the easier drills to practice are simply moving your wrist in a circle.

KEYS to this exercise:

GO SLOW: you want your brain to get better at moving in every possible degree of movement.

START SMALL: tiny circles are the best way to start, go bigger as you get better.

Avoid holding your breath, maintain a slow and light breath pattern.

Dr. Harris Choe PT, DPT, OCS on Instagram: "WRIST PAIN TIPS ⬇️

Wrist pain with push ups is a common complaint.

Whether it’s new beginners to the gym or experience weightlifters.

Most people push through the discomfort until it comes to a point of too much pain that they hold off from push ups.

From there, they wait a few weeks and hope the pain goes away when they return to the movement.

But what do you do when it still hurts?

This is a great regression to build up wrist extension tolerance and work on placing the pressure in the right areas of the hand.

The hand needs to be flush against the ground or else the joints and/or wrist flexors won’t be able to eccentrically lengthen to allow you to go into the push up.

Try these out and let me know how it goes 🙌
