It's said that there are more Victorian homes in Alameda, based upon its population, than anywhere else in the country. There are about 3,000 Victorian-era homes in Alameda, one for every 25 people who live there. Photographing Victorians in Alameda is a lot easier than it is doing so across the Bay in San Francisco where it's much more congested and where it's often impossible to find a parking place.
