The shepherd

I do not know why I saw the shepherd, but his appearance sticks in my mind, and I will never forget him. I wrote the article in case anyone has a feeling about who he was, and why he was there. If you see a shepherd walking the road in the middle of the day who looks like he came out of the biblical times, then note he might be just as usual as the one I saw.

The shepherds were the first group of people that God revealed the Messiah to. They were lower middle-class and yet he shared with them first. I love that element of the story but then I kept thinking about it and I envisioned the first shepherd to arrive on scene and the insecurities he probably had about approaching the King of Kings. I can only imagine the insecurity of this young boy and yet he was welcome to come and be with the King. An incredible invitation!
