A Resident Council is an important part of any long term living community. Resident Council Meetings empower residents to voice their concerns, exercise their rights, and play a part in the decision-making process within their own home. Meetings may be monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly, depending on the wishes of council members.

Lunchtime is a great time of day to add in fun activities for your residents. Coordinate with Dining Services to set up fun lunches in your Dining Room. By having lunchtime activities, you’ll usually have access to all of your residents at one time.

Resident Councils are meant to be a tangible way for residents to advocate for themselves, be a part of the decision making process around your community, and feel empowered.
