Although he came in 3rd today in the 148th Preakness Stakes, Mage is still an incredible horse. His name rests in history along with the other great horses that won the Kentucky Derby. I think he could have overtook National Treasure (1st place finisher) and Blazing Sevens (2nd place) had the race been a little bit longer. Maybe just one more 16th of a mile he could’ve charged in the stretch just as he had done in the Kentucky Derby. Mage is still an amazing horse and a champion.
