A couple of weeks ago, I made a scrappy quarter log cabin cushion for the couch. It's quite heavily quilted and sturdy for the amount of sitting and leaning and cuddling that will be required of it. A recent Missouri Star Quilt Co tutorial was for a Curved Log Cabin using a jelly roll of a fabric collection and a honey bun of white. It triggered a crazy idea... Why not make this as a MINI or should I say a mini? I took an Ambroisa jelly roll by Benartex and pulled out the four pink colored strips; there were 3 of one pink print, 2 of the other pinks. On this Valentine's Day I would like to share on my first quilts, a scrappy, pink log cabin. The very first quilt I made was a log cabin. I learned how to quilt by taking a class that taught this block. It is a great place to begin quilting, as one learns how to cut strips and manage the 1/4 inch seam allowance.
