On this day [March 30, 1955] Marilyn Monroe rode in on a pink elephant at Madison Square Garden for a benefit party in honor of the Arthritis and Rheumatic Affections Association. SHe was escorted in by photographer Ed Feingersh who took many pictures of her that day. Milton Greene was also in attendance and Milton Berle was the master of ceremony. The pink elephant’s name is Kamaudi!
