Lokta paper is made of bast fibers that are grown in the Himalaya Mountains, Nepal. The heavyweight papers are strong, with a bit of texture. The fibers are durable and impervious to insects. Because Lokta paper is entirely handmade and hand-dyed, sheets are subject to slight variations in colour and thickness.

Experimenting with woodcut printing for the first time. Inspired by the shadows casted on my kitchen wall, I decided to create a two layer woodcut print. First carving out the shadows on one block, then the grass on another. It felt like a really tactile form of printmaking, working with the grain of the wood.
