Earlier we saw how Joseph suffered at the hands of his brothers, then rose to great power. Now the purpose of that rise is beginning to reveal as we witness the execution of God’s grand plan. Ultimately this story is one of compassion and forgiveness. Events that on the surface seem horrific, in the end are to be a purposeful part of God’s plan, achievable only through God’s immense control over mankind’s destiny.
