1.) Trim Details: We love staying true to an architectural style & time period. Throughout our home we used dentil moulding, wainscoting, and historic colonial window & door casing. We highlighted certain rooms—the Library, the playroom, and the dining room—with builtin cabinets and bookshelves.

2.) Timeless Electrical Fixtures: Outside we have iron lanterns and on the inside sconces paired with vintage pendants and chandeliers instead of overhead recessed lights throughout the home to create an “always been there” appearance. Appliances can also help create a timeless feel (or date a kitchen if not careful). We featured an italian range but kept the fridge, dishwasher, and microwave hidden.
