Jane Eyre is the ultimate female heroine (granted within the context of the time period in which it was written). Jane's struggle for self-realization, her perseverance in the face of adversity, and her strong personality and wisdom make her one of the few examples of strong women in Victorian literature.

Here are my top ten go-to movies for romance. Some are new favorites, some are favorites from the past, some are funny, some are tragic...but they all are wonderful. In no particular order...because...I love them all : ) 1. Pride and Prejudice (2005) This is my "curl up on the couch on a rainy" day movie. I can watch it over and over and over again. I love the scenery, the music and the subtleties of Jane Austen. I love how not one aspect of this movie is overdone. (copyright Focus Features)…

colorized by Jecinci // Dickinson was an American poet. While Dickinson was a prolific private poet, fewer than a dozen of her nearly 1,800 poems were published during her lifetime. Her poems are unique for the era in which she wrote. A complete, and mostly unaltered, collection of her poetry became available for the first time when scholar Thomas H. Johnson published The Poems of Emily Dickinson in 1955 // source: facebook.com/jecinci
