1933 Duesenberg II Boattail Speedster

The August 3, 2008 Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance at Rochester, Michigan. This custom bodied Duesenberg was a gift to actor Clark Gable from his beloved wife, actress Carole Lombard. Gable commissioned Bohman and Schwartz to design and fit this unique roadster body to a Duesengerg J chassis, and worked closely with the designer to create a truly unique look. When E.L. Cord purchased Duesenberg in 1926, he challenged mechanical engineer Fred Duesenberg to design the best car in the world. Fred set out to build an automotive masterpiece. The resulting Model J had superlative engineering and custom body styling.
