Be prepared to shoot with settings that may be logically counter-intuitive. Often times, your ISO settings will have large numbers like ISO 3200 and your shutter speeds will be low to accommodate the low light conditions. Or, sometimes, your ISO will be very low and the shutter high to handle super bright white lights.

JADE RYUKI on Instagram: "↓ 5 settings i use for low light

Concerts can be challenging for beginner photographers to shoot.

One of the main reason for this is because there is LOW LIGHT.

These are the camera settings I use in concerts, so I can take photos that are:

· in focus
· exposed properly
· with minimal noise.

let’s dive in:

1. JPG VS RAW

I never shoot in JPG.

Instead, I shoot in RAW because it has more “dynamic range”.

This just means I have more wiggle room to fix photos in the edit if they’re under-exposed or over-exposed.

(JPGs can’t be pushed as far before things start looking weird)

This is very helpful, since concert lighting is unpredictable and changes rapidly.

2. WHITE BALANCE

So far, I’ve been shooting with my white balance set to “Auto”.

Xech Rafael on Instagram: "How to capture high quality clips at the Eras tour or any other concerts:

📷 Turn off HDR mode on your camera settings because it tends to add more details to your videos and this will create problems later on when you try to upload your clips on social media platforms.

📷 Set your camera settings to either 4K 30fps or 4K 60fps. This will depend on what you want to achieve post-editing. I captured my footages using 4K 30fps because I don’t have any plans on slowing down my clips. 4K 60fps really does a great job on that one.

📷 I cannot stress this enough but while shooting your clips, lower your brightness to enhance the quality of your clips. Auto expose tends to happen while you’re filming so it is best if you lock this setting by holding the screen and dra Camera Settings, Photo Tips, Eras Tour Intro, Post Editing, Great Job, Turn Off, Eras Tour, Photoshoot Ideas, Social Media Platforms
