Butterfly folding paper paint

The folding paper butterfly craft is a classic preschool craft that kids always seem to love doing. The patterns on butterfly wings are symmetrical and kids love squishing around paint - put the two ideas together and you end up with our folding butterfly craft! Print and cut out our butterfly template, fold it in half and have your child paint a design - the goopier the better. Then just fold the unpainted side over the painted side and press together to create a perfectly symmetrical butterfly and a great spring craft for kids.

BUTTERFLY ARTWORK for kids. A very easy method with great results. Fold the paper in half, flatten out and get the budding artist to apply a generous amount of different coloured paints near the centre line but not too close to the edge. Fold over and run the hands from the centre fold outwards. Unfold and view the beautiful colours and design. Sprinkle glitter over for amazing results.

Fold paper in half and drop small amount of different color paint down the fold. Then fold paper paper on same fold and push paint out to the ends of the paper away from fold. Open and there you have a beautiful butterfly!!
