The Aston Martin V8 Vantage appeared in February 1977 as a performance-enhanced version of the V8. Externally, it was recognisable by deep front skirts, a clad radiator grille with recessed auxiliary headlights, widened wheel arches and a spoiler integrated into the tailgate. Optimised engines up to the X-Pack specification from 1986 offered outputs of up to 432 hp and made the car the fastest production vehicle of its time!
