It has also strong Indo-Asian “accent” left by slaves and servants. The basic ingredients include seafood, meat as well as grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Delicacies range from crocs sirloins to biltong (dried venison meat), bobotie (meatloaf with raisins), boerewors (local sausage), koeksisters (sweet pastry), potjiekos and tomatoe bredie (stews)..
