Brown 1914 (1922) Origin: Namibia Common English Names include: Stone plant, Living stone. Etymology: The species name comes from the Latin adjective “fulvus” meaning “yellow-brown, tawny” plus the Latin word “ceps (capit)” meaning “head” for the colour of the plant.
