Cable-ish! and a lovely, understated flow of pattern. Rippenschal Scarf by Margarete Dolff. Link goes to the free pattern download on Ravelry. The scarf may be knit in any suitable yarn to any length. The model shown is 15cm x 200cm, made of 4 skeins Nimbus no 413, 400m total. The pattern is charted for Cast on of 40 sts or 60 sts. It is highly adaptable in type of yarn and texture, and since it can be done on 40 stitches, you can make it for children as well.
