Afrikaans Hoër Seunskool – New Music Centre, Pretoria. New facilities for the music department were required. Classrooms, individual practice rooms, offices and an orchestra & choir room were added between the existing school hall and railway lines. The challenging site led to an intricately connected design with corridors and courtyards. The new architecture makes use of the same building materials as the existing school buildings, but articulated in a contemporary, graphic language

The brief called for a sports facility with a tuck shop, dressing rooms, ablutions, sport viewing venue and entertainment area thus the building becomes the core of the sporting hub.
