Muizenberg beach( mountain of mice) was a very popular resort in those early years. These days it seemed to have lost its glamour to the Atlantic seaboard of Clifton and Camps Bay.

Old Railway station

A very rare image of the interior of the old Railway station, looking towards the platforms. Above the train indicator board is the famous "clock"......a favourite meeting place for Capetonians. Also at the centre of the photo we see a model locomotive in a glass case.This model brought much joy to little boys (myself included) when you put a penny into the slot the weels went round and round and even the driver gave you a friendly wave! Of interest is the following adverisements…
