Jopie Fourie: Daar gaan ’n man verby Jopie Fourie (1878-1914), leier van die 1914-Rebellie teen die premier Louis Botha, is op 16 Desember 1914 in die omgewing van Rustenburg gevange geneem. Vandag, 100 jaar gelede, is Fourie weens hoogverraad ter dood veroordeel. Hy was die enigste deelnemer aan dié rebellie wat op hierdie wyse die hoogste prys betaal het, skryf J.B. ROUX
