White South-Africans get 25% of their salt intake from bread and black South-Africans get 40% of their salt intake from bread! (This statistics will be more or less the same for many countries.) When you go shopping, buy bread that has less than 400mg salt per 100g, cereal that has less than 500mg per 100g and margarine that has less than 550mg per 100g.
