Delia Smith's Creole Christmas Cake. Be warned: once you make this, you will NEVER again make another fruit cake! You steep masses of fruit in absolutely gallons of alcohol for more time than you thought possible, and then bind it together with a few molecules of other stuff and bung it in the oven. It is sensational (although I never top it with the nuts, like in the pic. Don't need 'em.) I am under orders to make a new one each time the last morsels disappear....
