Four years ago I spent a lovely New Year’s Eve exploring Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. As well as numerous scream-inducing fun fair rides it included (and still does) a magical Christmas market, the first one I’d ever visited. Since then I’ve been to many more but Angel’s Market has remained one of my favourites so yesterday, with the echoes of Auld Lang Syne still ringing in our ears, we hopped on the underground to Marble Arch tube station to see if it was as fun as we remembered.
This is perhaps my favorite, and one of my most memorable, afternoon teas – the Mad Hatter’s Afternoon Tea at Sanderson London. With a playful Alice In Wonderland theme, every last detail on the table is meant to delight and surprise. From the menus tucked inside vintage books, to sugar cubes stored in music boxes, and even marshmallows made in the shape of magical mushrooms.
A unusual mobile fish and chips, food truck, run from a bright red London double decker bus. This day it was parked near the Southbank Centre alongside the River Thames. The perfect take-away on a snowy winter's day.
