Hang 'em high! Don't ditch your baskets just because winter is on the way. Now is the time to fill hanging baskets with new plants to provide an instant shot of colour that will last you right through to spring.
Hanging baskets and wall mangers can provide colour and interest through the cooler months. Choose hardy plants such as dwarf evergreen shrubs, conifers, heuchera, ornamental grasses, heathers, violas and pansies are perfect for planting now. Mix the colours, shapes and textures for the best effect. 1 Start with trailing plants around the edge 2 Add a taller plant in the centre for height and structure 3 Fill in the gaps with flowering or foliage plants.
