I used a slightly damp kitchen towel, and my hot tea kettle instead of an iron. The heat and steam ironically take out the stains left by heat and steam in the first place! My table looks brilliant!

How To Remove White Scorch Spots from a Wood Table:   1. Wash the table top and dry it well.  2. Place a clean, thin cotton towel over the scorch marks.  3.Set your iron to medium heat with steam.  4. Placed it on top of the towel, moving it around slowly.  5. Once stain is gone, wipe away any moisture and water.  6. Wipe in a bit of olive oil to smooth things out.
