Femininity and Modesty in Dress! Oh my, what a great quote for us ladies who are in relationships/married. If another women was dressed the way you are, would you be alright with them around YOUR husband?
If you think men and women should have equal rights, you are a feminist, no matter how much you try to deny it. And if you don't think men and women should have equal rights, then you are a complete asshole.
Does she have to wear her hair in curls? Or must it flow, sleek and straight? Is she required to face the world with makeup and keep her nails perfectly polished? Are pink and purple the only colors to choose from when she’s selecting a favorite? And what does it mean if she just happens to prefer jeans to dresses? Does living her life with preferences that challenge feminine stereotypes make her less of a girl?
There is a misconception that feminists hate men. But feminism is really about finding the root of socially constructed issues that affect both men and women such as hypermasculinity, rape culture, misogyny, and patriarchy.
Just remember that the vast majority of violence against women AND MEN is perpetuated by men, but abusing someone NO MATTER YOUR GENDER is not okay, and it's DEFINITELY not okay for WOMEN to abuse men either. It is abuse.
My mother was very lovely and kind and feminine and swore like a sailor. Her whole life she dedicated to helping others her children her husband and really ignored her self. Maybe thats a life well lived or was it? Im not sure she was a super happy person but then again what does that mean??? Pondering Tuesday. Whatever! Im just gonna eat breakfast. And my authentic self wants gluten-free toast eggies in a bowl and avocado. #HonestlyLisa #BeSillyNow #Language
