The Battle of Blore Heath - Since the battle of Saint Albans,Queen Margaret did all she could to end the Yorkist Claim. Richard, duke of York decided to act before his forces lost momentum. In an attempt to concentrate all the Yorkist army, he led his force to a concentration point. On the way they were intercepted by Lancastrians under Lord Audley who had been ordered to attack the Yorkist army by Queen Margaret. The Yorkist won a major victory. (Battle of Blore Heath -1459, 1912)


July 2, 1921 - A Congressional resolution by both houses is signed by President Warren G. Harding, declaring peace in World War I hostilities with Germany, Austria, and Hungary. The treaties would be executed one month later.
